ERC’s CoG evaluation timeframe revealed

The European Research Council has published its timetable concerning its 2015 Consolidator Grants (CoGs).

Following a deadline of 12 March 2015 for the current call for CoGs, the blue sky funding body has announced that in mid-May they will announce the results of its eligibility check for all three domains of applications, namely physical sciences and engineering (PE), life sciences (LS) and social sciences and humanities (SH).

This will be followed by the results of the step one evaluation announced at the end of July for PE, beginning of August for LS, and mid-August for SH. Those passing step one of the evaluation process may be invited for an interview in step two, which will take place in mid-October, the end of October and beginning/mid-November respectively.

The final results of step two evaluation will be revealed in mid-December 2015 for PE and mid-January 2016 for both LS and SH. The current CoG call has a budget of €585m under the Excellent Science pillar.
