FET info day and COFET conference to be held

The European Commission, Ideal-ist, the network of National Contact Points for ICT, and the COFET project have organised a series of events on Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) in Horizon 2020.

The series will start with an information day and consortium building event addressing the FET Open and FET High Performance Computing calls for proposals on 25 June in Budapest, Hungary.

Andrea Feltin, of the European Commission, will give a presentation on ‘Future and Emerging Technologies in Horizon 2020’, whilst Marcin Ostasz, of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and ETP4HPC, will discuss the ‘High Performance Computing Public Private Partnership’.

The following day will see a workshop to develop future collaborations strategies and topics in FET and highlight areas of research excellence.

Work group sessions will be held on FET participation and co-operation, past and present as well as in the future. Participants will discuss past experiences, recommendations for successful co-operation, and ways to improve FET participation in the future.
