Joint Swiss-Swedish open call for international research projects

Sweden and Switzerland have announced a bilateral call for joint innovation projects under the EUREKA framework for transnational co-operation in research funding and support. The deadline for project submission is 12 June.

Projects proposed must involve companies and research organisations from both countries. The call is open to all topics but focuses more specifically on virtual production including simulation, algorithms, and sensors; multidimensional sensors, controllers, algorithms, and controllers within automation; energy-efficient control and sensing-system applications within buildings, smart energy and grid enhanced user concepts as well as monitoring and diagnostics of energy production facilities and transport installations; and innovative sensors and processing techniques for new applications within medicine technologies.

The submission procedure is divided into two phases. In the first phase, project partners will be asked to present a short project outline using the form provided by the Swiss-Swedish Innovation Initiative.

The completed project outlines should be submitted to the EUREKA offices in Sweden and Switzerland simultaneously with copies to all partners of the project. The call is managed by the EUREKA offices at the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA) and at the State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) in Switzerland.
