New SWE-SWISS innovation call announced

The Switzerland-Sweden Innovation Initiative have announced the second call for R&D project proposals in the two countries.

Proposals can be submitted from 25 September 2013 until 10 January 2014 for the 2nd bilateral “Switzerland-Sweden Call for R&D Project Outlines”. The call aims to advance research efforts and help fund joint R&D ventures whilst encouraging the development of market-focused projects.

The call will focus on the development of innovative products and services within innovative manufacturing and software, life-sciences and digital health solutions. It’s hoped the call will encourage the development of research consortiums of SMEs, large industry, academia and research institutes between Switzerland and Sweden.

The call is being managed by EUREKA staff at the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI). The call will formally launch at the ‘Innovative Manufacturing Networking Conference’ in Dübendorf, Switzerland in September, where a number of workshops and information events will also take place alongside the event.
