SIRIC debates international co-operation

The Strategic International Research and Innovation Cooperation (SIRIC) group has been discussing its plans for Horizon 2020.

The group, which sits within Research & Innovation in the European Commission, has debated its plans for the Climate Action objective under the Societal Challenges pillar of Horizon 2020, as well as “a toolbox of instruments” to encourage external participation by other countries and organisations in the next research framework programme.

Horizon 2020 encompasses a strong international co-operation sphere to promote collaboration in tacking the major challenges facing European and global society.
