EIT Digital-supported scale-up wins at CES

EIT Digital Accelerator member Origone has won first place at the European/American Pitch Awards competition during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017.

The European integrated cybersecurity platform start-up took first place in the competition during MatchFest at CES in Las Vegas, US.

Prior to CES, any global start-up and SME could participate for two days of business to business (B2B) ‘matchmaking’ meetings and pitch to top investors, manufacturers, distributors and retailers.

The competition saw a jury consisting of start-up specialists from Silicon Valley, Europe and other regions listening to pitch presentations from 47 entrepreneurs.

Dolf Wittkamper, head of EIT Digital Accelerator, said: ”We are very happy for Origone, they should be very proud of this achievement. This award, in the context of the prestigious CES in Las Vegas, demonstrates the ability of EIT Digital to find the most innovative top level scale-ups in Europe.”

Based at the Harwell Science Park in Oxford, UK, Origone joined the EIT Digital Accelerator with ambitions to build itself into a global cybersecurity software business.

Origone’s software provides large corporates and SMEs with comprehensive protection against ever-changing email malware threats such as ‘phishing’ and Trojan Horses.

Origone will participate in EIT Digital’s Digital Infrastructure Action Line (DIAL) which supports innovation in areas including infrastructure, convergence of computing and networking, integrated cybersecurity and privacy, and built-in intelligence.
