EIT announces fringe session at Innovation Convention

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has announced details of its fringe sessions at the 2014 Innovation Convention in Brussels.

This events at the conference, organised by the European Commission and to be attended by Pan European Networks/Horizon 2020 Projects, will provide the opportunity for attendees to hear from some of the students, alumni and entrepreneurs that the EIT and its Knowledge and Innovation Communities support. In addition, EIT director José Manuel Leceta and Climate KIC France co-location centre director Thanh-Tâm Le will give insights into the EIT’s diverse community and its actions to help tackle the societal challenges facing Europe.

The facilitator will be Madeleine van Mansfeld, senior researcher at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. Panellists include Kate Hofman, EIT Foundation Young Leader; Dorottya Maksay, winner of the EIT CH.A.N.G.E Award 2013 (EIT ICT Labs); and David Tacconi, Winner of the EIT Venture Award 2013 (EIT ICT Labs).

The EIT was set up to spur innovation and entrepreneurship across Europe and brings together leading universities, research labs and companies to form dynamic cross-border partnerships that develop innovative products and services, start new companies, and train a new generation of entrepreneurs.
