EIT announces KIC events

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has announced a number of key events to help raise the profile of its Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) and encourage innovation collaboration  in Europe.

A major conference will take place in Kraków, Poland, on 6 June 2013 in order to enable scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs and businesspeople to discuss the work of the EIT and KICs, as well as highlight the potential of collaboration between the different sectors. The event is being organised by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education and KIC InnovEnergy, and will take place at Jagiellonian University in the Polish city, near the KIC InnovEnergy’s co-location centre.

The conference follows the announcement of additional EIT Awareness days which are currently taking place throughout Europe to provide key information about the EU body. Upcoming awareness days are planned for the Netherlands, Lithuania, Romania and also Poland and will provide information about the EIT’s three current KICs – Climate-KIC, EIT ICT Labs and KIC InnoEnergy.
