Climate-KIC France and Ecosys Group sign agreement
Climate-KIC France and Ecosys Group will team up to accelerate the development of the first eight shortlisted Climate start-ups in the Cleantech Open France competition.
The join-up will see the organisations join their competences to create the first French Business Accelerator for Climate orientated start-ups. The tool gives a concrete answer to the needs of the first eight climate laureates of Cleantech Open France 2013, 2014 and 2015. With an agreement of up to €1.2m in three years, Climate-KIC will offer a long term accompaniment to the start-ups selected through this high level competition.
Thanh-Tâm Lê, director of Climate-KIC France, said: “We are very pleased about this agreement with the world leading support for Cleantech start-ups, represented in France by Ecosys Group. The resulting synergy positions our two organisations at the first national and European level of the acceleration of start-ups.”
Adding his thoughts, Olivier Duverdier, director of ECOSYS Group and vice-president of Cleantech Open said: “We are very proud to have been chosen by Climate-KIC France to implement this programme; supporting young companies with high growth potential and job creation is in our genes. We have always favoured strong partnerships with the best players in their respective fields. This is a new challenge for us alongside a European operator with whom we share common values.”
The experts of Climate-KIC and Ecosys will jointly set up a diagnostic and relevant action plan with each start-up. The start-ups will benefit from the entire Climate-KIC Acceleration Programme.
