Call information backed by information day

The European Commission has announced details of the first energy calls under the Horizon 2020.

The calls, the first of which are expected in December, are expected to cover ‘Energy efficiency’, ‘Competitive low carbon energy’ and ‘Smart Cities and communities’.

The Commission has also announced it will hold an information day on the Societal Challenge next month. The one-day conference will take place in Brussels on 5 December 2013 and will include activities on bringing products to market and building upon experience of the previous ‘Intelligent Energy Europe Programme’, which supports EU energy efficiency and renewable energy policies. The EURATOM programme, which will focus on nuclear energy and investing in nuclear safety and training, will also be addressed during the event.
