First Business Booster event held in Barcelona

Over 200 entrepreneurs and 50 major companies from the European energy sector have attended the first Business Booster event in Spain.

Featuring representatives from ten EU member states, the event served to strengthen the relationships between the 37 start-ups that were attending the conference and are currently supported by the KIC InnoEnergy, and 50 relevant businesses from European energy sector. European energy companies included EDF, GDF, SUEZ, Iberdrola, Schneider Electric and TOTAL.

In addition to presenting their products to the industry, entrepreneurs and visitors were also provided with the opportunity to hear innovation experts Ramon Bacardit (chief executive of Afinitica Technologies), Robert Kirschbaum (vice president of Open Innovation at Royal DSM) and Andreea Strachineschu (head of unit for new energy technologies, DG Energy in the European Commission) speak about their experiences.
