The third workshop of the European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant MULTIWAVE on extreme waves in hydrodynamics and optics will take place at University College Dublin, Ireland, on 4 June 2014.

A session on the progress of MULTIWAVE will be held. Charlotte O’Kelly, from Techworks, will deliver a presentation titled ‘State of the art in wave measurement’ and Ray McGrath, from Met Eireann, will give an Irish perspective on extreme Atlantic weather.

The event will coincide with the launch of the ERC Proof of Concept Grant WAVEMEASUREMENT on the measurement of extreme waves in the ocean.

A session on experiments on breathers and rogue waves will also be held.
