ERC announces participation in annual AAAS meeting
The European Research Council has unveiled details of its involvement in the upcoming annual conference of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the eighth time the ERC has been involved.
This year’s conference takes place in San Jose, California, in the USA and the ERC will be represented by its president, Professor Jean-Pierre Bourguignon, along with other members of the ERC Executive Agency.
The EU excellent science funding body will also organise a series of events at the conference which will include the participation of ERC grantees, who will discuss their grant-funded projects. Projects being featured include ‘Simulating human behaviour in built environments’, ‘The diversification of migration: visualization across scales’, ‘Imaging the future of cancer research’ and ‘Cancer in 3D: in-depth research to uncover its secrets’.
The ERC will also be hosting a stand showcasing ‘Poppy’, the 3D printed robot, and upcoming funding opportunities. This year’s conference theme is ‘Innovations, information and imaging’ and will run between 12 and 16 February 2015; more information can be found here.
