UCL receives ERC Advanced Grant
A researcher at University College London has won a European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant to help fund an investigation into agriculture.
Dorian Fuller, a professor of Archaeobotany, won the funding from the ERC to compare the evolution of plants in relation to early farming systems. The project, entitled, ‘Comparative Pathways to Agriculture: the archaeobotany of parallel and divergent plant domestications across world regions’, will be the first comparison of its type in the world. It is hoped the research will provide a new understanding of agricultural origins and developments.
The funding from the ERC will also finance three new research associate positions on the project.
