New Human Brain Project partners announced
A total of 32 new partners for the Human Brain Project (HBP) are set to receive €8.4m by the European Commission to implement 22 projects. The new partners hail from 13 different European countries.
The HBP aims to create the world’s largest experimental facility for research into the structure and functions of the human brain, the enhancing of diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases, as well as the development of new brain-like computing systems.
The new partners – including the Italian National Research Council – are expected to be involved in researching genetics, neurobiology, cognitive architectures, robotics, innovative methods of biometric data processing, and information technology systems.
