Doctorate future event announced
The European Commission has announced a special two-day conference in the Latvian capital Riga entitled ‘Future of the Doctorate’.
The major conference, which takes place in the field of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, will consider the most successful European training methods and debate future developments, along with a ‘European vision of the modern doctorate’. According to the Commission, there has been a particular rise of different doctorate training approaches in Europe due to the changing job market.
The target audience is research policy makers, renowned scientists and key stakeholders. The conference, expected to attract around 250 people, takes place in Riga between 28-29 May 2015 and is free of charge. More details can be found here.
