Armenia to sign H2020 deal
The European Commission will sign a deal with Armenia to enable its participation in Horizon 2020.
The announcement was made by the country’s Minister of Education and Science, Armen Ashotyan, following talks in Brussels.
According to his page on the social networking site Facebook, the deal will be signed in 2016. The minister wrote: “The agreement is to be signed in January next year. Our scientists are expected to become full beneficiaries of the mega-project.”
Brussels and Yerevan have been in close negotiation over the Armenia’s participation in the EU research and innovation framework programme during the last few months.
