Balkans R&I workshop announced
A workshop on R&I co-operation between the Balkans and the EU will take place in the autumn, it has been announced.
The EUREKA information and training seminar will take place in Serbian capital Belgrade and will also detail the funding opportunities for universities and research institutes operating in the region. The head of the EUREKA Secretariat, Pedro de Sampaio Nunes, will take part in the event which will also include details on Horizon 2020. Information on the EUREKA initiative and the Eurostars programme will also be given.
The Western Balkans region has been participating in various projects within EUREKA even before many countries in the region formally joined in the early 2000s. The latest country to join EUREKA from the region is Montenegro in 2012.
The seminar will take place between 10-11 October 2013 and is organised by Europlan UK and the School of Electrical Engineering and School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Belgrade.
