Bern to host event in H2020 event in January
Switzerland has announced details of its national event to launch Horizon 2020. The event will take place in Bern at the Stade de Suisse.
The four-day national conference will be hosted jointly by the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation and Euresearch, the Swiss National Contact Point providing information and advice on EU research and innovation programmes. The first day will focus on the Swiss political objectives and strategies regarding Horizon 2020, whilst the following three days will focus on the framework programme itself with workshops outlining how to submit a proposal as well as legal and financial issues.
Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science, and Robert-Jan Smits, director general for DG Research and Innovation in the European Commission will attend the event. Alessandra Luchetti of DG Education and Culture will also attend and will outline the incoming changes to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.
