Horizon 2020 showcase event takes place in Ho Chi Minh City
Vietnam has officially launched the EU’s research and innovation framework with a workshop for scientists in the capital city.
More than 120 Vietnamese researchers attended the event in Ho Chi Minh City, which provided information on funding and fellowship opportunities under Horizon 2020. The event was attended by Simon Grimley, regional representative for EURAXESS Links ASEAN and Dr Olivier Küttel, head of European Affairs at Swiss University EPFL.
According to European Commission guidelines, applicants from Vietnam are automatically eligible for funding under Horizon 2020. The workshop follows a visit by the then European Commission Vice-President Antonio Tajani to the country last year, which focused on deepening economic relations with regional trade bloc members.
