Korea technology institute launches European office
The Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), host to the Korean office of EUREKA and placed under the authority of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, has increased the international dimension of its activities.
KIAT launched a new European office in order to better facilitate the exchange of information with its partners on the continent, support global mobility programmes for researchers, and generate transnational innovative R&D projects. Over the past five years, Korea has intensified its drive to expand collaborative activities with European partners and its new European office was opened in Brussels in the vicinity of the offices of the transnational R&D platform EUREKA.
Gitae Shim, head of KIAT’s European office, said the European office of KIAT “would become the primary gateway between European and Korean innovation actors and decision makers”.
