Launch of Horizon 2020 in Canada

The Canadian launch of Horizon 2020 has taken place in Calgary, Alberta, with an ERA-Can+ information session.

Luigi Scarpa de Masellis, advisor to the Delegation of the European Union to Canada, provided a brief overview of Horizon 2020, whilst Melissa Moor of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada gave an introduction and summary of the event.

Moor also delivered a project overview of ERA-Can+, which aims to advance EU-Canada collaboration in research and innovation. She discussed opportunities for Canadians in Horizon 2020, as well as the first steps to participation in the programme.

Viktoria Bodnarova, regional representative of EURAXESS, spoke about support services for researchers in Canada, while a session on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions was also held.
