Moedas readies to welcome Tunisia to H2020
The European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation is expected to sign Tunisia’s Accession Agreement to the Horizon 2020 programme next week.
Carlos Moedas is set to ratify the deal with Chihab Bouden, Tunisian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Tuesday. The signing will be followed by a bilateral meeting between the two politicians.
Moedas is also expected to hold talks in Brussels on Tuesday with Carmen Vela, Spanish Secretary of State for Innovation, and Johanna Wanka, German Minister for Education.
On Monday, the Commissioner is due to deliver a speech at the ‘EU Innovation Union Strategy and the Black Sea Region’ seminar at the European Parliament in Brussels.
Later in the week, Moedas will travel to Lund, Sweden, in order to participate in the ‘Lund Revisited: Tackling Societal Challenges’ conference, where he is set to deliver an opening speech entitled: ‘The political challenge: How to address the grand societal challenges in an aligned way’.
