The Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové is the leading institution for education and research in East Bohemia and belongs in the ‘top ten’ medical scientific and educational organisations in the Czech Republic. The faculty was established almost immediately after the end of World War II (13 October, 1945) as part of Charles University. Since its foundation, the faculty has undergone extensive development.
