EIT Digital seeks innovation co-investment
EIT Digital has launched an open call seeking excellent innovation centres willing to team up and co-invest with the Knowledge and Innovation Community in order to boost the growth and development of local innovation and education ecosystems.
The open call addresses excellent innovation centres. The ‘ARISE Europe’ programme by EIT Digital is creating sustainable co-operation with local partners, such as accelerators, incubators, investors and innovation clusters.
Explaining the announcement, Fabio Pianesi, research director of EIT Digital, said: “The call process gives innovation centres the chance to introduce themselves – their success stories and local ecosystems; their network; their technology, strategy and services – compete and, if selected, contribute to making their territories and innovation ecosystems, and the whole of Europe the real places for digital innovation.”
EIT Digital will contribute to the collaboration of its network with expertise and assets for entrepreneurial education and innovation. EIT ICT Labs was renamed EIT Digital on 1 June 2015.
