EIT ICT Labs: Over 300 submissions in First Idea Challenge wave
The first submission wave of EIT ICT Labs Idea Challenge has resulted in over 300 applications and more than 600 registrations on its application platform.
Applicants aim to win coaching, office space, connection with EIT ICT Labs’ partner network and up to €40,000 in prize money.
Winners could be identified from 25 EU member states. An expert jury consisting of industry experts, investors, entrepreneurs and business accelerators now have the important task to review all entries and to select the most innovative ideas. Between eight and twelve teams per category will be invited to the finals in Eindhoven, Netherlands; Helsinki, Finland; Munich, Germany; or Rennes, France.
The contest, which was first presented during the CeBIT conference earlier this year, calling for proposals and brilliant ideas by individuals and teams in four categories: health and wellbeing; smart spaces; future cloud; and cyber physical systems.
The second submission wave starts 1 September with categories including smart energy systems, urban life and mobility, cyber security and privacy, and the Internet of Things.
