H2020 provides funding to Big Data healthcare platform
A UK-based technology firm has been awarded a grant of €50,000 to assist its development of a new cloud-based software platform to explore Big Data in healthcare.
The platform, designed by FACE Recording & Measurement Systems, will allow anyone from patients to researchers to pharmaceutical companies to explore and analyse health outcomes data through an interactive interface.
The initial grant will fund a feasibility study, which is due for completion in early 2015. The product will be available in 2016.
In a statement, FACE CEO Paul Clifford said: “Our goal has always been to develop products that improve the quality of healthcare provision and this has the potential to help on an international scale. We are already getting huge interest in what we are doing from around Europe and are having to make expansion plans.”
