Latest breakthroughs highlighted in European Robotics Week 2014
European Robotics Week 2014 has begun with over 300 events showcasing current and upcoming technological breakthroughs.
The week-long schedule of events takes place between 24 and 30 November and sees laboratories involved in robotics open their doors to the public, in addition to universities, schools, companies and museums. Many events are free of charge to attend and are also viewable live online here. Interested visitors can also explore an interactive map highlighting the on-going events, which include competitions, guided tours, exhibitions, talks and workshops.
European Robotics Week is organised by the EU’s robotics contractual public private partnership (cPPP), euRobotics. The cPPP is receiving around €700m of funding from Horizon 2020 along with around €2bn from private industry. The events aim to encourage students to pursue careers in STEM-related subjects and undertake technology-orientated education studies.
