‘Functional DNA Nanotechnology Workshop’ held in Rome
A ‘Functional DNA Nanotechnology Workshop’ will take place in Rome, Italy from 19-20 June 2014. The workshop will provide stakeholders with the opportunity to share knowledge and ideas in an informal environment on such issues as nanotechnology, bioengineering, DNA-based sensing, and DNA-peptide chimera.
The European Research Council (ERC) is funding the conference, which has been organised by Francesco Ricci from the University of Rome, together with academics from Ludwig-Maximilians University in Germany and Bar Ilan University in Israel.
Registration is open until 1 June. In addition to the speakers who will take part, there will also be a poster presentation for which interested applicants can submit an oral or poster contribution.
Invited speakers include Kevin W Plaxco from the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA; Michael Famulok from Bonn University, Germany; Shawn Douglas from the University of California, San Francisco; Tambet Teesalu from the Sanford-Burnham Institute, USA; and Ebbe Sloth Andersen, from Aarhus University, Denmark.
