Berlin ups SME funds

The German Government is set to boost its contribution to Eurostars.

German small and medium-sized businesses will be able to benefit from the increase in funding to the programme for innovative SMEs, which is co-financed by Horizon 2020 and EUREKA member
countries.

According to EUREKA, ‘the great success’ of the scheme is cited as the reason behind the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research’s financial increase.

EUREKA adds: ‘Whereas financial shortcomings in the past prevented the start of some projects with German participation, the new funding … will enable a success rate of up to 50% of all eligible projects with German participation.’

The body adds that this is therefore ‘a good reason’ to begin collaboration with partners in Germany.

Funding applications can currently be submitted to the Eurostars until 18 February 2016. More information can be found here.
