Competitiveness Council meeting to discuss space
The latest meeting of the Competitiveness Council will take place on 26 May. Research and innovation in the space sector will be discussed.
Draft conclusions on ‘Towards a shared EU-ESA vision for space fostering competitiveness’ and the ‘Implementation of the roadmap for the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures’ will be adopted at the meeting, whilst there will be a policy debate on ‘Euro-Mediterranean Science and Technology and Innovation renewed partnership’.
The meeting will be chaired by Christos Vasilakos, Greek Secretary General for Research and Technology. The Presidency of the Council of the European Union will rotate to Italy on 1 July 2014.
