New H2020 space calls announced
Horizon 2020 will release further research funding for the space sector next month.
The calls will centre on four fields: protection of European assets in and from space; space-competitiveness of the European space sector; Earth observation; and applications in satellite navigation. These cover topics such as reducing the impact of space debris, astrophysics, comets and planetary data. The UK’s Knowledge Transfer Network has already announced that it will be running information sessions on the new calls.
Total funding available from Brussels is in the region of €95m, and calls will open on 4 November, running until 8 April 2015.
