Businesses urged to explore H2020 funding

Enterprise Europe Network North West (EENW) is urging businesses in northern England to explore new funding opportunities for innovation.

Innovation adviser at EENW, Andrew North, says there are plans to work with a range of businesses and organisations in order to benefit from the financing available under Horizon 2020. He said: “The north west of England has a long history of innovation and some truly revolutionary technologies and processes have been developed on our doorstep. Horizon 2020 will give companies the opportunity to take their ideas to the next level.

“The funding will be for projects that are developing future and emerging technologies that can be progressed into a commercial offering. It is important companies seek advice at this stage to ensure they do not miss out,” added North.

EENW is also planning a series of business roadshows across the region. Lancaster University will hold the next event on 23 January 2014.
