Commission publishes call for establishing Enterprise Europe Network

A call has been launched for the establishment of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) for the period 2015-2020. The aim of the network is to facilitate access to European and international markets for European SMEs and to provide growth-oriented, integrated business and innovation support services that help strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of European enterprises.

The EEN will primarily address European SMEs that seek to exploit new opportunities in the single market, but also in third countries. At the same time, the EEN helps achieve SME-related objectives of other EU programmes, for example Horizon 2020, and is encouraged to contribute to the development of a stronger SME support system in EU regions.

EUREKA and EEN signed a memorandum of understanding in July 2011 for the period covered by the previous contract. Co-operation for the period covered by the present call has already been foreseen by representatives of the European Commission and EUREKA.

More information about the call can be found here. The deadline for the submission of proposals is 15 May 2014.
