Tech transfer in advanced manufacturing event announced
An event focusing on how tech transfer can benefit the adoption of new advanced and clean manufacturing technologies by industry has been announced by the Joint Research Centre (JRC).
The event, being held in Brussels, will include practical examples of the potential of technology transfer and is particularly beneficial to manufacturing SMEs. Entitled ‘Technology transfer: paving the way for advanced manufacturing’, the event is targeting industry executives, technology transfer officers and policy makers.
Contributors to the event include JRC director general Vladimír Šucha; Giancarlo Caratti, head of the JRC’s Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Unit; Andrea Gentili, deputy head of the Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Biotechnologies Unit in DG Research and Innovation; and Nikos Pantalos of the Innovation Policy for Growth Unit in DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs.
The workshop will also discuss how to quicken the adoption of advanced technologies. The event takes places on 25 February 2015, and more information can be found here.
