EUREKA and Commission sign Eurostars Delegation Agreement
Head of EUREKA Secretariat Pedro de Sampaio Nunes and Eurostars programme manager Michel Vanavermaete, together with Peter Droell, acting director, Innovation and ERA, and Maria Kayamanidou from DG Research and Innovation have signed the Eurostars-2 Joint Programme Delegation Agreement.
This agreement defines the EUREKA Secretariat’s responsibilities regarding its relations with the national funding bodies. Through this agreement, the Commission entrusts the budget implementation tasks to the EUREKA Secretariat.
With a total public budget of €1.14bn, Eurostars is a funding programme specially designed for research-performing SMEs developing innovative products, processes and services, and is currently supported by 34 Eurostars countries and the EU.
The Eurostars-2 application system is now open for project submission. The cut-off deadline is 5 March 2014 at 20:00 CET.
