ITRE prepares for 2016 EU budget vote

Members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy are set to vote on the EU’s 2016 budget in an extraordinary set meeting to take place next week.

MEPs will gather in Strasbourg on Monday 7 September to discuss various committee opinions on the budget. They will also discuss and vote on a strategic initiative regarding a new international climate deal in Paris. The French capital is set to host the COP21 talks in December.

Following the votes, parliamentarians will also debate the ‘Developing a sustainable European Industry of base metals’ initiative at the meeting.
