JRC and Greece strengthen research links
The JRC and the Greek General Secretariat for Research and Technology have signed a new agreement on research co-operation. The deal establishes co-operation in the fields of energy, maritime affairs, food, health, environment and security.
Christos Vasilakos, the Greek Secretary General for Research and Technology, and Vladimír Šucha, director general of the JRC, signed the agreement at a conference hosted by Demokritos, the National Centre for Scientific Research.
The conference focused on the areas of research co-operation between the JRC and Greece and included presentations by researchers. The JRC also delivered a presentation on how it collaborates with EU member states and research laboratories in Europe.
