Ministers prepare for Competitiveness Council
The indicative programme for the latest meeting of the Competitiveness Council on 20-21 February has been released.
The first day of the meeting in Brussels will feature a debate on industrial competitiveness and a discussion on the European Semester 2014. In a public session – to be broadcast live online – non-financial and diversity information, electronic invoicing in public procurement, and a statute for a European Foundation will be discussed.
On the second day, the programme will begin with another discussion on the European Semester 2014 to be followed by the Council’s conclusions on the European Research Area. Also discussed is the Innovation Investment Package and the Council will then debate relations between the EU and the European Space Agency. A further public session on a space surveillance and tracking support programme will take place.
