Third sector H2020 workshop
Ireland will host an Horizon 2020 information session in January.
The half-day workshop will take place in the capital Dublin and will deliver an overview of the nearly €80bn EU research and innovation framework programme.
The event is targeting Irish civil society organisations and will consequently include information on numerous funding schemes under Horizon 2020 ‘that may be of interest to civil society organisations that have a strong research function’, according to the organisers.
Addressing delegates will be representatives from the Irish Research Council, Health Research Board, World Vision Ireland and Irish Universities Association, and particular information will be provided on the ‘Health, demographic change and wellbeing’ Societal Challenge, the ‘Europe in a changing world – Inclusive, innovative and reflective societies’ Societal Challenge and the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.
There will also be a focus on the involvement of NGOs in Horizon 2020, and a case study on the links between the framework programme and the Ebola+ vaccine.
The seminar is being run by Enterprise Ireland, Access Europe and The Wheel and representatives from these bodies will also address attendees. The event takes place on 28 January and more information, including compulsory registration, can be found here.
