EIT announces annual awards competition

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has announced its 2013 awards. The institute will honour entrepreneurs in two categories ‘Ventures’ and ‘Next Generation of Entrepreneurs and Change Agents’.

The awards are organised with the EIT’s three Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs), Climate-KIC, EIT ICT Labs and KIC InnoEnergy.

Although the award is now closed, the ‘Venture Award’ will highlight entrepreneurial efforts from one of the organisation’s three KICs. Candidates will have the opportunity to enter new markets, raise venture capital and access management knowledge.

The second award, ‘Change Agents and Next Generation of Entrepreneurs’ (CH.A.N.G.E.), highlights young entrepreneurial talent from the EIT’s and KICs’ education and training programmes. The prize will honour achievements in entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and innovation. It will be awarded for an innovative idea, project, process, new business model, service or product initiated from an individual with entrepreneurial drive.

The deadline for the award is 31 August 2013.
