EIT Awards 2016: call for nominations open
The call for nominations for the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Awards 2016 is now open.
Each year, the EIT recognises the outstanding achievements of members of its Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KIC) through the EIT Awards, which are presented in three categories.
The EIT CHANGE Award is presented to graduates from EIT-labelled education programmes who inspire innovation and entrepreneurship and bring about a change in the thematic areas addressed by the EIT and its KICs. The winner will receive a total prize of €15,000.
The EIT Innovators Award is worth €50,000 and celebrates KIC innovation teams made up of individuals from across the knowledge triangle who have developed a product, service or process with a high potential for societal and economic impact.
Lastly, the EIT Venture Award highlights successful entrepreneurial start-ups which have been supported by the KICs through a dedicated business creation or business development process. The winner will receive a €50,000 prize.
All nominees and winners will enjoy increased European-wide promotion.
Applications must be submitted before 30 November 2015. The three winners will be announced during InnovEIT, the EIT Innovation Forum, in Budapest, Hungary, on 25 April 2016.
