Students begin studies at ICT Labs Master School
Students have gathered at Technische Universität Berlin to celebrate the start of their EIT ICT Labs Master School programme in which technical excellence is combined with entrepreneurship and ICT innovation skills.
A three-day introductory programme sees 170 students discover the EIT ICT Labs ecosystem of industry, research, and academia, as well as undertaking a students’ challenge to develop a business idea with the goal to bring it to the market.
Speaking about the Master School, Carl-Gustaf Jansson, EIT ICT Labs Master School director, said: “This is not only academic education: the two year curriculum consists of so much more. The creative mix of innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology stays in sharp focus, but we also teach our students how they can benefit from cross-cultural co-operation with other students and professors, and how they can accelerate their own development.”
“Mobility is one of the pillars of our Master School, since mobility of people, ideas, technologies and investments is vital for the functioning of ecosystems,” added Willem Jonker, chief executive of EIT ICT Labs.
The pan-European Master School is starting with its second cohort of students coming from all over the world. The school combines strengths and the specialisation of a strong network of excellent universities, thereby cultivating innovation from the classroom.
