Dutch Climate-KIC accepts new entrepreneurs
Climate-KIC’s centre in the Netherlands has accepted ten new entrepreneurs to start in the first stage of the Climate-KIC Accelerator.
All start-ups in stage 1 will be starting their Fundamentals training in September, helping entrepreneurs to develop their business propositions and test the commercial feasibility of their clean tech business ideas.
During the Fundamentals training, start-ups will learn to focus on their customer, market segmentation, selecting a beachhead market, and end user profiling. Start-ups will also learn how to make money with their product, how to identify the key drivers, and pay attention to team members roles. Peer to peer, expert briefings, and start-up stories are part of the curriculum.
At the end of Fundamentals training, teams will be ready to test their business models with potential launching customers, business partners, and other stakeholders. The current teams in stage 1 have just graduated and some of them will move forward to stage 2: Validation.
In addition to the Fundamentals training programme, accepted start-ups in the Climate-KIC Accelerator are welcome to join the Master Classes and in a later stage, participate in the Venture Competition and Start-up tours.
The next round in the Netherlands will close on 3 November2014.
