Cleantech winners announced
The Cleantech Republic Awards are presented to cleantech companies based in France and less than eight years old which stand out for innovations – in the form of services or technologies – that contribute to reducing environmental impacts.
Organised in partnership with EDF R&D-Open Innovation, KIC InnoEnergy, Bpifrance, La Tribune, and La Galerie CVxvtq5WcAAF-UbCOP21, this year’s ceremony took place at the Galerie COP21, a carbon-free-solutions expo held during COP21. The jury, comprised of cleantech experts, investors, industry journalists, and more, cast their votes in three categories: transportation, energy-efficient buildings and farming.
Karos, a Paris-based start-up which has developed a commuter ride-sharing app sold to large companies to help meet their employees’ transportation needs, was awarded the Grand Prize.
Deepki, a year-old start-up providing businesses with software that leverages existing statistical data such as utility bills to identify potential energy savings in their properties, was presented with the Jury’s Choice Award.
Editor’s Choice Award meanwhile went to Naïo Technologies, which designs and commercialises automated weed-control robots for chemical-free weeding.
