EU releases ‘Personalising health’ call results
The European Commission has released initial results regarding two health calls under the Societal Challenges pillar.
The €88m ‘Personalising health and care’ call attracted 80 proposals split across three topics. Researchers submitted 46 proposals to the ‘Clinical research on regenerative medicine’ topic, followed by 28 proposals to the ‘New approaches to improve predictive human safety testing’ topic. A final six bids for funding were sent to the ‘Vaccine development for poverty-related and neglected infectious diseases: HIV/AIDS’ topic. The call closed on 30 July 2014.
The Commission has also released details of the €29m ‘Health co-ordination activities’ call. The call, which comprises five topics, received a total of 27 proposals. The most research applications were sent to the ‘Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases. Prevention and treatment of lung diseases’, followed by two applications to the ‘ERA-NET Collaboration and alignment of national programmes and activities in the area of brain-related diseases and disorders of the nervous system’ and ‘ERA-NET: Cardiovascular disease’ topics.
Brussels will announce the winning applications for funding in due course.
