Commission readies for CS2 call

The European Commission has announced details of an upcoming call for Clean Sky 2 (CS2).

The call will cover a significant number of research topics, from ‘Erosion-resistant functional coatings’, ‘Jet Noise Reduction Using Predictive Methods’ and ‘Fuel bladder tanks for a fast compound rotorcraft’, to ‘Integrated main landing gear bay’, ‘New flight crew oxygen mask concept for prolonged use in civil aircraft’ and ‘Engine Mounting System (EMS) for Ground Test Turboprop Engine Demonstrator’.

The CS2 call has a budget of nearly €58m and is set to open on 30 July 2015. Sitting under the Societal Challenges pillar, proposals can be submitted until 18 November 2015.

CS2 has a budget of €4bn.
