Commission to launch H2020 SESAR call
An ‘Exploratory research’ call as part of the Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR) Joint Undertaking (JU) is expected to be launched tomorrow by the European Commission.
The €20.6m call will cover a range of research realting to the JU, which focuses on ‘developing the next generation of European Air Traffic Management’. Topics to be funded include ‘Automation in ATM’, ‘High Performing Airport Operations’ and ‘Communication, Navigation and Surveillance’.
Other topics under the call include ‘Trajectory Based Operations’, ‘Environment and Meteorology in ATM’ and ‘ATM Performance’ and ‘ATM Architecture’. The call will run until 24 June 2015 and it is funded under the Societal Challenges pillar. More details will be provided by the Commission.
