‘Green vehicles’ and ‘Mobility for growth’ calls unveiled
The European Commission has announced it is now accepting research funding applications for two Horizon 2020 transport calls.
The €30m ‘Green vehicles’ call will run until 15 October and is part of the Societal Challenges pillar. Two topics are being funded: ‘Powertrain control for heavy-duty vehicles with optimised emission’ and ‘Electric vehicles’ enhanced performance and integration into the transport system and the grid’.
Also receiving bids is the €17.5m ‘Mobility for growth’ call, which is also under the Societal Challenges pillar. Four topics are covered, namely ‘Safe and connected automation in road transport’, ‘Demonstrating and testing innovative solutions for cleaner and better urban transport and mobility’, ‘Facilitating market take up of innovative transport infrastructure solutions’ and ‘Smart governance, network resilience and streamlined delivery of infrastructure innovation’. This call is also accepting applications until 15 October.
