Nominations open for European web entrepreneur competition
The European Commission has opened nominations for the Europioneers 2014 Web Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
Europioneers exists to celebrate the successes of web entrepreneurs in the EU and to provide a platform for them to connect with each other and with investors. The competition has four award categories: European Web Entrepreneur of the Year, Young European Web Entrepreneur of the Year – Youth Award, High Growth Web Entrepreneur of the Year – Gazelle Award, and Female Web Entrepreneur of the Year.
Applications are open until 31 August and nominations can be made here. A shortlist will be announced on 26 September, with the final award ceremony taking place at ‘The Summit’, Dublin, Ireland, in November. A combination of public voting and jury input will select the final winners. Previous winners include Alexander Ljung & Eric Wahlforss (Soundcloud) and Jon Reynolds (Swiftkey).
